WHAT IS TRUSCULPT® 3D?

TruSculpt 3D is a non-invasive body contouring treatment using a specially-designed machine. The truSculpt 3D machine uses whats called monopolar radiofrequency (RF) energy. This RF energy safely targets and destroys fat cells beneath the skin. TruSculpt 3D is FDA-approved as safe for use on the abdomen and flanks (legs, hips) to reduce the circumference of these areas.

While reduction of fat cells is the goal with truSculpt 3D, there may also be potentially noticeable skin tightening and toning in treated areas, as well as reduction in the appearance of cellulite.

HOW DOES TRUSCULPT® 3D WORK?

TruSculpt 3D is a portable machine that uses a hand-held wand-like device. The smooth face of the device is rubbed slowly and gently back and forth over the area to be treated. TruSculpt 3D is an advancement in previous technology in that it uses a higher frequency of radio waves, resulting in a more rapid and efficient heating of fat cells. Coupled with the technique used to administer treatment, this allows delivery of heat over a larger area reducing overall treatment time and improving results.

HOW LONG DOES A TREATMENT TAKE?

Each body part is typically treated for up to 15 minutes. So, for example, if you want to have your flanks treated, total treatment time would likely be 30 minutes (15 minutes per side).

AM I A CANDIDATE FOR TRUSCULPT 3D?

The professionals at Sparsh Clinic Fitness will be happy to discuss this with you. Typically, anyone that has stubborn fatty deposits in their tummy, hips, and thighs that just wont go away with diet and exercise can benefit from TruSculpt 3D. A body mass index (BMI) of under 30 is most often used as a rough rule of thumb.

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?

Typically, patients see noticeable results within 3 months of receiving a truSculpt 3D treatment. Some patients have reported they were beginning to see results in as little as six weeks.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?

TruSculpt 3D has minimal to no side effects beyond the potential sensitivity mentioned previously.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

This depends on your goals and treatment plan. Typically, patients see results after one treatment, but a follow-up treatment may be required to touch up previously treated spots or treat another area.

WILL IT HURT?

Earlier body-reduction procedures using heat typically involved placing the heat delivery device on the treatment area and leaving it there for a period of time, then moving it (kind of like working in a grid pattern on the body). TruSculpt 3D uses a gentle sweeping technique throughout the procedure so heat is not applied to any one area for an extended length of time, reducing the opportunity for discomfort.

Patients report that treatments with the TruSculpt 3D feels like a good hot-stone massage. The treated area may be slightly more sensitive for a few days. TruSculpt 3D uses radiofrequency energy which creates heat that goes deep into tissue to reduce fat cells. Any reported discomfort varies widely from patient to patient. Remember that everyone responds a little differently to any body work they may have done.
